The most important part of providing a great adventure is having great instructors who should be full of life, passionate and have complete dedication to the customer’s satisfaction and safety, so we utilize the very best candidates.

Does Extreme Ventures have a license for activities?

Extreme Ventures is registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Service as licensed to provide specified activities under the following headings, although the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority recognises that other activities are offered which do not come within the scope of the Adventure Activities Regulations 2004:

Visiting Groups & Individuals

Extreme Ventures aims to provide visitors with all essential information prior to their adventure with us in order to guarantee that all customers are adequately organised for the activities you are going to participate in. Before arriving all customers are provided with a booking form, information pack including terms and conditions, consent form & Activity Information.

Before a course or session begins we will need signed consent forms covering all participants. To avoid difficulties over extra participants being added on the day, we have a strict policy that no more than twelve people can be trained per instructor. If more people than our policy allows arrive at a session then they may be allowed to observe but not participate.

Climbing and adventurous activities are potentially dangerous and therefore under 18’s must be supervised closely at all times. If there are any disciplinary issues then we have the right to exclude an individual on safety grounds. We ask that there be a responsible adult present to manage the behaviour of young people.

All prices include Insurance, Fully Qualified, Experienced & CRB Checked Instructor, Equipment, and entrance/hire fees. All activities have been risk assessed and include Emergency Action and Operating Procedures. Extreme Ventures fully complies with regulating bodies including Health and Safety, National Governing Bodies and Adventure Activity Licensing Authority

How can I entertain my children during the school holidays?

We run a variety of School Holiday Courses and activities which can be tailored for school holiday fun and family days out, check out our up and coming events and special offers

How do I find the location of my activity?

The location of your activity will be found on your booking form. You will also have been provided directions to the location of your activity. Our activities are held at a variety of locations in Sussex and Kent near Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead.

How old do I need to be to attend activities with Extreme Ventures?

Age 4 plus for Brighton indoor climbing
Age 7 Plus for NICAS
Age 7 Plus for outdoor climbing
aAge 12 Plus for Rock Skills Courses

What Payment Methods do you accept?

Extreme Ventures organises amazing birthday parties and we arrange everything for you. Choose from indoors or outdoors from a selection of adventures including rock climbing, combo deals and the extreme Venture Packages where you can do a multi activity day trips and have the birthday party you will never forget and be talking about for months to come.

In just a few clicks, you can pay for your activity with Extreme Ventures using whichever method suits you including your linked bank account, your debit or credit card, or the money in your PayPal account and you can use the PayPal app to send money when you're out and about.

PayPal don’t charge you when you pay Extreme Ventures, we pay a small fee for PayPal to securely process the payment for you. You can pay using your bank account, debit or credit cards without sharing your financial details. It’s simple, secure and free to purchase Extreme Venture activities with PayPal.

Pay the full cost of your activity and participant fee if applicable using just our email address info@extremeventures.co.uk
PayPal will make sure we receive the money without ever sharing your financial details.
When you’ve completed the transaction, PayPal will notify us that the money is available.

You will need to contact your bank to arrange this type of payment (your bank may charge you for the service). Please provide a booking name for the payment so we can find it on our accounts.

It's raining will my booking still happen?

Yes all activities can still go ahead in the rain and they are often more fun everybody loves to get wet and muddy, you're only a shower away from being clean again. All the instructors are experienced and equipped to work outside all year

Is there Entry or Hire Fees?
Not for you these are all included in the great prices we provide for all our activities, Extreme Ventures will arrange the hire for facilities we require for your activity. (Entry fees are applicable for our package Climb at a Wall near You bookings only)

Is Climbing, Abseiling and all other Extreme Ventures Activities Safe.

We endeavour to make all our activities as safe as possible and we have very high safety standards and records, we regularly inspect our equipment and comply with National Governing Bodies, Health & Safety Executive and the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority. All instructors are fully qualified with relevant National Governing Bodies, first aid assessed and are CRB Checked. Extreme Ventures has an excellent safety record with excellent operating and emergency action procedures for all our activities.

Extreme Ventures Fully Endorse the British Mountaineering Councils Participation Statement. "The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions."

Are the Instructors qualified?

All Extreme Ventures hold the relevant National Governing Bodies required for supervising the activities they are leading. Instructors are also CRB Checked and First Aid Trained and Assessed.

What about Insurance?

Extreme Ventures provides Public Liability Insurance for all its activities Up to £5 Million

Do I need my own Equipment?

No Extreme Ventures provides all the safety equipment for all activities which is included in your price

Is climbing difficult?

Climbing comes naturally to nearly all of us, with some basic instruction nearly everybody can achieve what is within their comfort zone, the top of a rock is the point you choose, all our instructors will guide and encourage you but nobody has do anything they do not feel comfortable with.

What experience do I need to climb?

None your instructor will do all the safety work and set up and then show you some basic stuff to keep you safe, as long as you 6+ for climbing anyone can have a go.

What is the maximum weight for roped climbing?

It is recommended that the maximum weight for roped climbing activities is 16 stone

What Facilities are there?

We use a variety of venues all have access to public bathrooms however Extreme Ventures is not responsible for the facilities and cannot be held responsible for the opening arrangements or standard of bathroom available. In some cases we may be able to hire a Portaloo or showers and arrange camping facilities.

Do I need lunch?

Extreme Ventures does not provide food. Please bring snacks and drink
